The sun hits the water around five. That's when the first Duvel gets poured, the speakers find their groove, and Chalok Bay turns gold. Niels is behind the bar. Pong is plating something fresh from the kitchen. Someone just lost at chess. You're not going anywhere tonight.
Niels brought his Belgian beer obsession to Thailand in 2017. Pong brought the Thai warmth, the kitchen, and the soul of the place. Together, they turned a quiet stretch of sand into the bar that 225 reviews call "the best on the island." These days it's the go-to bar for Chalok's dive instructors and divers — when you surface in Koh Tao, you tend to end the day here.
